Many service providers face challenges when working with clients who live with both addiction and mental health concerns (concurrent disorders). This workshop will define the term concurrent disorder and provide an overview of the historical development and clinical literature surrounding it.
Participants will learn practical approaches for working with clients facing concurrent disorders and are encouraged to bring real-life cases from their practice for discussion. This is an experiential workshop where participants will apply newly gained knowledge to their own service settings, enhancing their ability to effectively support individuals with concurrent disorders.
Learning Objectives:

2. Review the historical development and clinical literature related to concurrent disorders.
