Course Description:

This live online course explores the impacts of anti-Black racism in Canada and provides frontline staff with practical tools to foster inclusive and equitable service environments. Through discussion, real-world examples, and trauma-informed approaches, participants will examine the historical and contemporary realities of anti-Black racism and its impacts on individuals, communities, and mental health.

Participants will also explore how systemic barriers affect service access and outcomes, and how allyship and anti-racist practices can be incorporated into day-to-day work. The session emphasizes practical strategies that support respectful, responsive, and equitable service delivery in frontline settings.

Learning Objectives

  • By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
