Course Description:
Building on the fundamentals of case management, this course is designed to help students develop advanced skills in designing and implementing case management strategies within social service agencies. Specific challenges, such as interagency conflicts, limited resources, and advocacy, will be addressed. Participants are encouraged to bring real-world case examples from their work to the class for discussion and analysis.
Learning Objectives:
1. A brief review of core case management principles.
2. An in-depth exploration of specific plan design and the challenges involved.
3. Practical problem-solving for individual case challenges and process solutions.
4. A discussion of advanced intervention strategies, including Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
