New Training Portal – New Processes for Accessing Training

The Toronto Hostels Training Centre has rebranded as IDEA Training Collaborative, and we’ve launched a new website, Training Portal, and Learning Management System (LMS).
What does this mean for you? IDEA Training Collaborative will no longer use the voucher system for our community partners. Organizations and agencies will now need to create an organizational account on our Training Portal at this link: https://portal.ideatraining.org/.
The organizational accounts will be structured like an org chart, with varying access levels for each user. Directors will have access to the training records (including invoices and payments) for all staff members. Supervisors and Managers will only see their team’s training records, while Frontline workers will access their own records. If Frontline workers wish to register for a course, they can do so through the Portal after their account is created, and the registration request will be sent to their Supervisor/Manager for approval.
To create an Organizational Account, an Agency Representative (e.g., Director) with the authority to represent the organization must register on the Training Portal. After registration, IDEA staff will contact the Agency Representative within 1-4 business days to assist in setting up the account. Once established, the Director will be able to add staff and assign their user roles within the Portal. IDEA staff will also help set up different locations, programs, cost centers (for invoicing), and more.
Additionally, please take a moment to review our updated Policies and Procedures and Terms and Conditions.
As this is a new system, we are still refining the process. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to enhance the learning experience for our valued community partners and customers!
