Dana Kamin

Dana Kamin, MSW, RSW (they/she)

Dana is a social worker, counsellor, and experienced training facilitator who has worked across community, shelter, food bank, and drop-in settings. Dana specializes in trauma recovery and supporting individuals and families impacted by hoarding and chronic disorganization, using trauma-informed, harm reduction, and strengths-based approaches. Their work draws from Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, EMDR, and Internal Family Systems.

Dana also brings extensive training experience, through facilitating workshops with IDEA Training Collaborative, as well as across Ontario, where Dana provides courses in hoarding, mental health and addictions, and de-escalation in challenging situations.

Dana’s training emphasizes practical, trauma-informed approaches that support frontline practice and client-centred care, and she is known for creating engaging, inclusive, and non-judgmental learning environments.
