Emergmart Response Systems Inc. is a WSIB-approved first aid, CPR, and AED training organization based in Markham, Ontario, serving the Greater Toronto Area and beyond since 1993. Founded by President Mike Ichelson — whose experience as a frontline emergency responder revealed how rarely bystander first aid was performed before ambulances arrived — Emergmart was built to close that gap through realistic, practical, and down-to-earth instruction.
Operating through its Code Eight EMS Division, Emergmart specializes in equipping workplaces, shelters, and community organizations with the skills to respond confidently to medical emergencies. Course offerings include Standard and Emergency First Aid, Level C CPR/AED, team CPR, catastrophic bleeding control using military-grade techniques, and active attacker preparedness.
