Terms & Conditions
The purpose of the Terms & Conditions for taking training with IDEA Training Collaborative is to ensure that all participants understand their rights and responsibilities before, during, and after training sessions. These terms outline essential policies regarding registration, attendance, payment, behavior expectations, and confidentiality. They aim to create a professional and respectful learning environment, ensure compliance with all procedures, and provide clarity on the consequences of non-compliance. By agreeing to these terms, participants commit to engaging in training sessions in accordance with IDEA TC’s Policies & Procedures.

Age Requirement: All participants must be at least 18 years of age to participate in any courses or training programs provided by IDEA Training Collaborative.
Registration and Access
Registration: All participants must register through the IDEA Training Portal and have an active account to access course materials.

Access Restrictions: Use of the Training Portal is strictly limited to the registered participant. Organization/agency representatives are responsible for ensuring that their staff comply with IDEA TC’s Policies & Procedures.
Access to Free Courses: Organization representatives must ensure that only shelter program staff from their organization have access to the mandated free trainings offered by IDEA Training Collaborative. Non-shelter staff do not have access to these free courses and must make payment for participation.
Fraud Prevention: If it is discovered that free courses are being offered to non-shelter staff, it will be considered fraud, and IDEA Training Collaborative reserves the right to take necessary legal action.
Attendance Policy

Leaving Early: Participants who depart thirty (30) or more minutes prior to the course’s scheduled end time will not be provided a course certificate.
Absences and Missed Time: Should a participant miss thirty (30) or more minutes of training, they are not eligible to receive a certificate and are not eligible for a refund or rescheduling to a new course.
Reporting Absences: Absences and/or missed time will be reported to the Toronto Hostels Training Centre Manager, who will then report to the Agency Manager (if applicable).
Non-Negotiable: These attendance times are non-negotiable.
Annual Memberships
Eligibility: Annual memberships are available to both individuals and organizations.
Membership Term: Memberships are valid for one (1) year from the date of purchase.
Non-Automatic Renewal: Memberships do not automatically renew. At the end of the one-year term, members will need to manually renew their membership.
Renewal Reminders: IDEA Training Collaborative will send out reminders to the member’s registered email address as the membership expiration date approaches, but it is the member’s responsibility to ensure timely renewal.
Membership Benefits: Membership benefits include access to select courses, discounts, or other offerings provided by IDEA Training Collaborative (details provided at the time of membership registration). Membership benefits are subject to change, and members will be notified accordingly.
Trainings and Purchases
Online Purchases: All training course registrations, including self-paced and instructor-led courses, and related purchases made through the IDEA Training Collaborative website are subject to these Terms & Conditions.
Access to Purchased Trainings: Upon successful registration and payment, participants will gain access to the corresponding training materials. This may include self-paced course modules, live course sessions, and downloadable resources as applicable.
